Which is better? Handheld video monitor or the stationary tv style?

baby monitor reviews uk<br />
My son is a very active sleeper and I have a 2nd child on the way. I can easily make due with a regular audio monitor but I have the opportunity to be gifted a video monitor and would like to get a decent one. I originally liked the Summer Infant Quiet Sounds handheld monitor but also noticed they had the same one but with the little tv but for quite a bit cheaper. Is the video quality better on one or the other?

Also Ive gotten alot of sarcastic replies in the past to questions. I’m looking for serious responses please. I know there are conflicting opinions about whether people really need video monitors or not and as I said I have made due quite nicely with my audio monitor but if someone in my family would like to get me one then that sounds great to me. I’d just like to know what people who LIKE their video monitors have to say about style/brand. Thanks!! :)

I have the handheld video monitor, and I love it. You can take it with you easily from room to room (it’s just a little bit bigger than a regular monitor), and it has a battery saver– it automatically shuts the video off after a set time (a minute or two, never actually counted how long!). Then you just have to press a button to get the video image back on (or off again), but still have the audio the whole time. Mine is the Summer one, not sure if it’s the same on you’re talking about, it’s this: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265802

I can’t speak about the TV one, but is it portable? I only know one person who has it and I’ve only seen it once, but I assumed it had to be plugged in.

I have the Summer video/audio monitor and we love it. We put the baby down (who sleeps in our room still) and can watch tv after she goes to bed and still see her little chest rise and up and down. So we can cuddle on the couch and still know whe is okay :)

baby monitors for twins

When we have our second baby, I would love to put a second camera in his/her room and use the same video screen portion to monitor both cameras. I would have one camera on the A tuner, and one on the B tuner. Is this possible?? or will there be interference??

Here’s the link to the monitor:

Yes.. I have used it for twins and thats what we do… we set up one monitor in our room and have one we carry around with us…

They are very convenient.. and there is no interference..

I Love these monitors!!!
