How to convince my parents to?

Ok. I am looking at a new laptop (Apple MacBook). I currently have a Gateway 200ARC laptop, but it will be 5 years old in October, and it’s not working great (had to get new Wi-Fi card, battery is busted, extended warranty expired) and I want a MacBook. They are normally $ 1099, but Apple has an Education Discount that we can use since my Mom is on the school board. Also, I am washing cars and cutting the grass to earn money so I can pay for part of it.

My parents said that my grades play a big part in weather or not I get one. My grades are, for the most part, better on my 4th quarter report car then they were on my 3rd quarter, with the exception of computers, because I did something I taught people how to send messages in class and the teacher marked me down (parents didnt really care) and Math, which I am being tutored for this summer.

How to I convince my parents to let me get a new MacBook? I want one soon because we are taking a vacations to Michigan and Ireland soon.

Show them the money that you have earned.
Do extra work around the house and other chores.
Tell them that you are willing to do extra work around the house to pay off your computer.

What do you think money grows on trees or something? Ask for it for your birthday. Or pay for it yourself.

♥Birdie♥:Just keep doing what your doing, maybe pick up a few extra odd jobs, like maybe offering to de-weed gardens things like that around your neighborhood. Keep your grades up and offer to maybe do more around the house? Sounds like youre on the right track. Just get as much together as you can and maybe offer to pay back the rest over time?
